Volleyball College Signings

2013-2014

On Thursday April 4, Jordan Jones signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Faulkner University in 2014. Jordan was a 4 year varsity player and a pivotal contributor to the Trinity Christian School team that won 3 consecutive GISA state championships from 2011-13. Jordan led the 2013 Lady Lions team in assist and service aces. She also finished her career with the 2nd highest assist and service aces in school history. Jordan was recognized as team MVP, first team all-county, and GISA all-state as a senior. She was a member of the 2013 GISA senior all-star team as well. Congratulations Jordan!!

On Thursday November 21, Alex Huber signed a letter of commitment to play volleyball with Kennesaw State University in 2014. Alex was a key member of the Trinity Christian School team that won 3 consecutive GISA state championships from 2011-13. Alex led the 2013 Lady Lions team in digs and was 2nd in kills. She also finished her career with the 4th highest in school history in each of the following statistical categories; aces, digs, & kills. Alex was recognized on the all-county team the last two seasons, GISA all-state team as a junior & senior, and was a member of the 2013 GISA senior all-star team as well. Congratulations Alex!!

2012-2013

On Friday, May 3rd, Ashton Bigler signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Georgia College and State University for the year 2013-2014. Ashton was an integral part of the Trinity Christian School team that won the 2011 & 2012 GISA state championships. She led the 2012 Lady Lion team in kills, aces, and passing average. Ashton also was recognized on the All-county team the last two seasons, and the GISA All-State team as a sophomore, junior and a senior. She was named team MVP as a sophomore & co-MVP as a senior. Ashton also represented Trinity as a participant in the GISA senior all-star match. She was a member of the first TCS volleyball team. Congratulations Ashton!!

On Friday, May 3rd, Micayla Patterson signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Georgia College and State University for the year 2013-2014. Micayla was a key member of the Trinity Christian School team that won the 2011 & 2012 GISA state championships. She led the 2012 Lady Lion team in assists and compiled a school record 2,118 assists during her 3 year career at Trinity. Micayla also was recognized on the All-county team the last two seasons, GISA All-State team as a junior and a senior, and the GISA All-Region team as a sophomore. She was named team co-MVP as a junior and served as floor captain during her junior & senior seasons. Congratulations Micayla!!

On Wednesday, May 1st, Elissa Waldrop signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Emmanuel College for the year 2013-2014. Elissa was a valuable member of the Trinity Christian School team that won the 2011 & 2012 GISA state championships. She led the 2011 & 2012 Lady Lion teams in kill %, and blocks. Elissa led the 2011 team in kills and was second in aces during the 2012 season. During her junior and senior seasons, she was recognized on the All-county team, was named to the GISA All-State team, and was honored as team co-MVP. Elissa represented Trinity one final time as a GISA senior all-star participant. Congratulations Elissa!!

On Monday March 4, Rachel Lyons signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Bryan College in 2013. Rachel was an important part of the Trinity Christian School team that won the 2011 & 2012 GISA state championships. She led the 2012 Lady Lion team in digs with 223, while compiling a 2.2 passing average. Rachel also was recognized on the All-county team the last two seasons, and the GISA All-State team as a junior and a senior. She started playing volleyball in the 4th grade, and was a member of the first TCS volleyball team. Congratulations Rachel !!

2011-2012

On Tuesday March 20, Samantha May Mizzell signed a letter of intent to play volleyball with Point University in 2012. Sam is the first female athlete and first volleyball player from Trinity Christian School to sign an athletic scholarship. She was an integral part of the Lady Lion team that won the 2011 GISA state championship. She led the 2011 Lady Lion team in aces while compiling a 0.204 kill %. Sam also was recognized on the All-county team 3 years in a row, and the GISA All-State team as a senior.
